Guild ranks are not static and a member's rank will change as his/her play time or level of involvement within, and contributions to, the guild change. Each rank's requirements also include the requirements of all lower ranks.
Guild Master1 and Guild Master2 (and GM Alt.) ranks - With help from the Officers, the Guild Masters (Dawg and MsD) run the guild, make the guild decisions, determine member ranks, address problems & issues, & determine goals & direction of the guild.
Officer (and Officer Alt.) ranks - A Veteran who currently exceeds the requirements of the Veteran rank to the point of helping the GMs keep the guild running smoothly
Veteran - The Veteran rank and up will receive priority if we have more sign ups than slots and all else (raid composition, player performance, etc.) being equal. If a Veteran raids current tier progression bosses with the guild on more than one character, then we will promote both of those characters to Veteran rank, so both get the repair benefit. We do not want to penalize a Veteran who is helping the guild by having more than one progression-boss worthy character and bringing whichever one the guild needs for a particular boss. This rank by design shall only include a small number of members who are core raiders and who consistently and over a long period of time:
Raid with the guild each week (normal short exceptions are communicated in advance for trips, work events, college finals, etc.)
Monitor their raid performance and keep their raiding character(s) performing at the the requisite levels for initial kills in the current tier and mode of raid content
Upon request by a GM or Officer, act as a class mentor for other guild members looking for some help with their characters of the same class
Upon request of a GM or Officer, perform raid assignments and duties (e.g., study and be the guild expert for a certain boss fight, certain raid calls, raid analysis input, etc.)
Member - This is the rank for most members, both raiders and casuals
Alt. - Alts of current Veterans & Members
Recruit - members still in their trial period. Recruits receive reduced guild perks (lower guild repairs and no guild bank withdrawals). This period is your opportunity to get active in the guild as described in the Code of Conduct. The intent of the trial period is for you get to know us and us get to know you from regular interaction on our voice server and your involvement in the guild. At the end of a reasonable period of time in Recruit rank (this can vary on a case-by-case basis depending on the circumstances), a Recruit either will be promoted to Member (if the trial period demonstrated s/he and the guild are a mutually good fit) or removed from the guild (if either s/he was not a good fit or failed to get involved enough in the guild for us to determine s/he was a good fit).
Inactive - members who have not logged in recently. If you are put in inactive and come back to the game, make sure to get in touch with one of the GMs or Officers and talk with us in our voice server so we can confirm it is you before restoring your rank (note: depending on the circumstances, you may have to earn your prior rank back after becoming Inactive).
